This week the Government announced the new Tier System which will come into place on the 2nd of December when the latest lockdown in England comes to an end. The good news is this means some holiday accommodation can reopen depending on which tier it falls into.

To find out which tier your region is in please visit the Government website: https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/returning-to-a-regional-tiered-approach

The guidelines for the different tiers are as follows:

Tier 1: Medium Alert

Within this tier accommodation has been given the go ahead to open.

People within Tier 1 are permitted to go on overnight stays with their household, support bubble or in a group of up to 6 people.

Tier 2: High Alert

Within Tier 2 accommodation has been given the go ahead to open.

People within Tier 2 are permitted to go on overnight stays with their household or support bubble.

Tier 3: Very High Alert

Within Tier 3 accommodation must remain closed with limited exceptions such as work purposes or where people cannot return home.

No overnight stays are allowed outside of the local area unless necessary for work, education or similar reasons.
