We have recently integrated with Booking Protect meaning SCRUMPY customers can now offer guests refund protection on their bookings.

What is Booking Protect? 

Booking Protect offers your guest refund protection as part of the checkout process. They will have the ability to opt in or out of the protection. If the customer chooses to opt in SCRUMPY will add an adjustment on to their booking to cover the cost of the Refund Protection product.

Why should I use Booking Protect?

Booking Protect benefits both the guest and the property owner. It encourages guests to book because; their entire booking is covered, it increases their confidence to make non-refundable bookings and it offers them freedom and flexibility to apply for a refund up to 45 days after the start of the booked event.

In terms of benefiting you as a property owner; you will receive commission on the sales of the Refund Protection with bookings and you will have to deal with less time consuming customer complaints and refund requests knowing that your refunds are being dealt with by the Booking Protect team.

How to Setup Booking Protect

In order to set up Booking Protect on your SCRUMPY website there is a 'Booking Protect' section under 'site settings' in your admin. See our help article for a guide on setting it up.
